Every processor so far has treated energy as someone else's problem — a bill that arrives later, in watts, at the rack. An Energy Processing Unit makes the joule the unit of account: each operation priced, routed to whichever substrate answers it for the fewest, and settled onto a ledger you can audit. Ours runs at 0.1596 pJ per accumulate — measured on silicon, not estimated by a tool.
